Natural gas is the cleanest of the fossil fuels. The CarbonSaver has been designed to make it even cleaner.
CarbonSaver is a patented plasma technology that removes some of the carbon from natural gas pre-combustion, leaving a hydrogen-enriched natural gas (HENG) stream. Not only does HENG reduce carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide (NOx) output of devices that burn natural gas, it also improves the efficiency of many of them. In addition, the pure carbon has a commercial value that is being assessed in several industries.
AHI is in the early stages of commercializing CarbonSaver through strategic alliances and collaborative partnerships. Pilot plant demonstrations are being designed now and will be built and demonstrated over the next 18 months. Commercial rollout is planned to follow in 2012.
